16th Annual Asian Pacific Filmmakers Experience in Park City

JOIN US, the Asian Pacific Filmmakers Experience Committee, as we — artists, creators, and industry insiders — come together in celebration of our experiences and resources to recognize our amazing talents who tell our stories and create compelling media projects that shift the landscape, change hearts and minds, and announce our presence. There will be multiple events to attend from Jan 24 -Jan 26. Learn more about how you can be part of the experience and RSVP here. See below for the schedule!

POWER TO THE POC
Sunday, Jan. 26 | 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM

Presented by the Asian American Documentary Network
Firelight House
As we kick off 2020 and as the New American Majority continues to rise, questions of “who gets to tell whose story,” persist in myriad ways. One vital shift in our field is to increase the number of people of color in positions of power: decision makers in programming, funding, marketing/publicity and distribution. This panel will explore the changes that have taken place recently, reflect on panelists’ own experiences and roles addressing the field even as filmmakers of color are becoming more recognized and supported.
INVITATION ONLY
