VC Announces Summer ‘16 Screening Line-Up

Summer 2016 heats up as Visual Communications announces a busy slate of summertime screening events in and around our home here in Los Angeles Little Tokyo. There's something for everyone, from a highly-anticipated Sundance Film Festival award-winner in co-presentationship with one of our long-running community partners, to the Los Angeles Premiere screening of a brand-new work by a longtime member of the extended VC family. And did we mention that our annual Summer Interns Screening Event and Party is on tap as well? Let us stop talking about it, let's show you what's in store:

SPA NIGHT  |  Directed by Andrew Ahn
July 11 (Monday)  |  Directors Guild of America, Theater One  |  Showtime 7 PM  |  7920 Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90046

To kick off a busy screening series, Visual Communications partners with Outfest to present the Los Angeles Premiere screening of the award-winning SPA NIGHT, by Andrew Ahn, which is being presented as Outfest’s Centerpiece Presentation. In director Ahn's feature debut, a young man “on the verge” (award winner Joe Seo) is simultaneously weighted down by the responsibilities of fulfilling his parents’ dreams of achieving admission to a prestigious college in the face of a downturn in the family fortunes and his own sexual awakening when he clandestinely accepts a job in a Koreatown spa. The screening is currently at "Rush Line" status (no online tickets left, but same-day tickets available), so get in line early on the day of the screening to ensure a seat.

This screening event will also feature a special performance by artist Paula Fuga, as well as special guest appearances.  For VC Members ONLY, a link to score discounted tickets through July 3 is available by e-mailing kathy@vcmedia.org for your VC Members' discount code, which will also be found in your upcoming Members' e-letter. For non-VC Members, go to here and click on "Calendar/Buy Tickets".
