Welcome to the 33rd Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival! After months of anticipation, we are pleased to bring you another exciting eight days of film and events from April 27th to May 4th, 2017 in hopes to create spaces for connection and add to the dialogues of change.
Read MoreThis week our 2017 Armed with a Camera Fellows went to Portland to visit LAIKA Entertainment (KUBO AND THE TWO STRINGS, CORALINE, CORPSE BRIDE, PARANORMAN) for a studio tour. The Fellows observed all stages of a working stop motion animation studio, from LAIKA staff choosing different fabrics for costume design, to building the robot mechanisms for the puppets used in the films.
