We Stand in Solidarity Against White Supremacy
/On Saturday, March 13, we were honored to share space with our communities at the LOVE OUR COMMUNITIES: BUILD COLLECTIVE POWER event. We are immensely grateful for our local Asian American organizations for organizing a gathering to build solidarity and create healing space in response to anti-Asian violence. Organizers and participants included artists, filmmakers, and creators who use the power of media to dismantle white supremacy.
Then a few days later in Georgia, eight people were murdered. Six were Asian women. The latest scene of anti-Asian hate which has incited 3,800+ hate crimes against Asian Americans in the past year.
As racial and sexual violence rages on against Asian, Black, Indigenous, Women, LGBTQ+, and People of Color, we share with you below the direct work that organizations are doing. Please utilize their resources and if you are able to give, consider supporting their work.
We collectively grieve with you all during this time.
And when you’re ready, we urge you to pick up that camera and tell stories that deconstruct the foundation of white supremacy.
In solidarity,
